Kudos to the person who has made this presentation (I wish I can find him and thank him for his effort) to explain the complex issue of the Corona pandemic. It is very simple, even President Trump––who, at present seems to be more interested in the health of the US economy rather than the health of the american people––should be able to make sense of it.

This is the sleight of hand of the modern magician who sees the world through the programmed digital monitor of some variables and key boards.Very simple.wash hands and social distancing and Voila! India-strongest. The Modi govt.has successfully washed it’s hands of all responsibility and socially, (here, politically)distancing itself. And the virus is the people and like always 60%of the disadvantaged. The loading of the human factor is prejudiced in the premise itself. If you watched Sully and Tom Hanks talks of this in a very different context but looks eerily similar.Sorry, not buying the bit of letting go the PM and his clever few with his familiar trope of obfuscation.
We would indeed be very lucky to get away with this.
I fully agree with parts of the linked post; lockdown is just a small first step. Much more needs to be done, particularly to address the needs of large numbers living in difficult conditions. Lip service and favourable headlines alone will not lead to solution of this problem. Thank you for sharing. 🙏

I hope the leadership in the West, the US in particular, also sees reason in this.

This missive in a way elaborates the “headline seeking” media management style of our present rulers. How we the Janus-faced liberals remain trapped between national security or its people’s health under threat each time a disaster is not natural but man-made.
